What happened?
Three people are in hospital following an incident early in the afternoon of Monday, March 11. There were initial unconfirmed reports of a stabbing, and this was clarified by police later in the afternoon.

Police say there have been no arrests made at this time.
What have the police said?
A police spokesperson said: "Greater Manchester Police are still responding to an incident on Murray Road, Bury.
"Officers remain at the scene to conduct further enquiries into what is believed to be a stabbing.
"The extent of the injuries sustained by three victims are thankfully not thought to be life-threatening.
"No arrests have been made at this time.
"Anyone with information that may help is asked to call 101 quoting incident 1338 of 11/03/2024."

Yes, the air ambulance landed close to the Bury College building on Angouleme Way.
When did it happen?
According to reports from the ambulance services they were contacted just after 12pm on Monday afternoon.
What have the ambulance service said?
North West Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We’ve responded to a police incident following a call at 12.06.
"Three patients have been taken to hospital."
Which areas are closed off?
Police have sealed off a number of areas around Bury town centre. While the market itself appears to be open, several areas and alleyways behind the market remain inaccessible after being closed off by police.
These include the alleyway between the market and Princes Parade, a portion of Murray Road, and an alleyway from the market heading towards Angouleme Way.
