A popular food and drink festival is set to return this summer.
Organisers of the Heaton Park Food and Drink Festival have promised punters “another unforgettable year” as they announce the dates for this year’s festival.
The food festival, which is now in its third year, will take place on the weekend of August 3 and 4 and is offering cheaper early bird tickets for a limited time.
Festival organisers have teased two brand new features of the event, including exciting tribute acts to build on the popularity of last year’s performers.
Organisers added that they will be "dialling up the eccentricity" of the festival’s "quirky and extraordinary production" with details to be confirmed.
An event spokesperson said: “We're making a triumphant return on August 3rd-4th, setting Heaton Park ablaze for another unforgettable year!
"Picture this: leisurely strolling, cold drink in hand, indulging in tasty treats, and being serenaded by live music on stage...but that's just the beginning!
"Following the roaring success of last year's tributes, we're bringing you an encore with even more incredible acts.
"Get ready for a line up that will get you on the dancefloor.
"Our production is already over-the-top, but in 2024, we're dialling up the eccentricity. Stay curious, as that's all we can spill for now.”
As well as the new additions, a number of food festival favourites will make a return this year, including street food stalls selling everything from tacos to bao buns to curries, and artisan markets selling cakes, brownies and charcuterie.
There will be specialist independent bars and a full ale house as well as free live music, entertainment and cookery demonstrations.
Entertainment for little ones will also be provided in the form of a fun fair and inflatable land and mobile educational farm.
Limited discounted early bird tickets starting from just £5.95 per adult.
Tickets are available from the Heaton Park Food and Drink Festival website.
