A woman has been injured after a 'domestic assault' was reported on a road near Heaton Park this morning.
Around five police cars, a crime scene investigation van and two police cordons were in place at two bus stops on Middleton Road for around two hours due to the incident.

Officers were spotted looking in woodland just off Middleton Road, however left at 1pm and reopened both bus stops.
Police confirmed that officers were called to reports of domestic assault on Torcross Road, and two men had been arrested on suspicion of assault.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "At around 10.50am this morning (Sunday, February 11, 2024), officers were called to reports of a domestic assault on Torcross Road, North Manchester.
"An 18-year-old man and a man in his 40s have been arrested on suspicion of assault. One suspect was arrested on Middleton Road.
"A female victim is believed to have an injury to her arm. "Enquiries are ongoing."
