An air ambulance was called to Peel Brow this afternoon, Wednesday, after a person fell "from a height".
The helicopter landed near a playground on Fern Street just after 2pm while an ambulance also arrived.

It was reported that the air ambulance was in attendance for around 45 minutes before a person was taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for Northwest Ambulance Service said: “We responded to an incident after a patient had fallen from a height.
"They were taken to hospital for further treatment.”
