Police catch driver allegedly travelling at 42mph in a 30mph zone on Bury road after residents complaints.
Officers from GMP Bury North carried out patrols across the town to target traffic offences, including speeding, insurance, roadworthiness.
Police say residents have raised concerns about traffic offences in the area and have encouraged people to come forward with any issues.
While on patrol on Radcliffe Road, officers stopped one driver who was allegedly travelling at 42mph in a 30mph zone.
Elsewhere, officers stopped a vehicle with 'a very big chip' in the windscreen which has been taken on a motorway. Officers say 'positive action' will be taken against the driver.
Police say another driver was stopped for allegedly not wearing a seatbelt and for allegedly not having valid insurance. The vehicle was seized and officers issues paperwork for driving offences.
A GMP Bury North spokesperson said: "Officers from the town centre neighbourhood team deployed to various areas of Bury to target vehicle related offences, these were predominately targeted at; speeding, insurance, roadworthiness and other motor related offences. Here's a snapshot of what we've come across!
"Deployed with a speed camera on Radcliffe road, the majority of road users were fully compliant and abiding by the speed limit.
"However, there's always one! We caught this driver going 42mph in a posted 30mph zone, speed limits are exactly that, there's no need to exceed them as I'm sure you'd rather get to your destination late than not at all!
" We were notified of a vehicle with a chip in the windscreen (a VERY big chip) being driven on a road, turns out the driver thought it was wise not only to drive it on a road but also took it on a motorway!
"The relevant paperwork has been issued to the driver and positive action is most certainly being taken against them.
"A driver caught our attention as they were not wearing a seatbelt, subsequent checks resulted in the discovery that they had no valid policy of insurance.
"The vehicle was seized under 165 RTA and the driver issued with the relevant paperwork for the driving offences.
