A sinkhole has opened up on a residential road in Bury today, Thursday.
The sinkhole, estimated to be 4ft deep, has emerged on the corner of Willow Street and Teak Street in Bury.
A police car has been on the street with an officer directing people away from the hole.
It has now been covered up and blocked off.
A council spokesperson said: "We’ve made it safe and are doing further investigations."

Resident Gavin Howarth said: “I went past at 11.30am this morning.
“There’s currently a police car parked nearby and they’re directing people away from it. It looks to be about 4ft deep.”
Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for comment.
