Bury's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
Three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• M66, from 9pm January 29 to 5am February 2, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 4 to junction 1 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.
• M60, from 8pm January 31 to 5am February 1, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 16 to junction 17 - lane closure for carriageway for reconstruction/renewal.
• A56, from 9pm February 2 to 5am February 4, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 northbound and southbound, junction 0 - two lane closure carriageway closure due to maintenance works.
• M60, from 8pm February 5 to 6am February 8, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 both directions junction 16 to junction 18 - carriageway closure for structure and maintenance.
• M60, from 9pm February 8 to 6am February 13, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 18 to junction 19 - carriageway closure for white lining/road markings.
• M60, from 8.30pm February 12 to 5am February 17, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M62 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - lane closure for communications on behalf of National Highways.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
