Young Coronation Street stars will deliver an acting masterclass to students at a borough high school this week.
Pupils at Tottington High School, Laurel Street, will perform a script from a recent episode that has been provided by the Coronation Street production team.
Stars in the show, Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren Bolton, and Liam McCheyne, who plays Dylan Wilson, will workshop ‘How to perform an effective rehearsal’ with year 9 drama students.

Lee Barber, national director of secondary education of the Shaw Education Trust said: "Nationally, schools are exploring a range of strategies in their attempts to improve pre-Covid attendance levels.
“The reasons for the continued decline in attendance figures are varied and complex.
“However, poor mental health is often cited, with anxiety and lack of mental health support for young people as key drivers.
“At Tottington High School, we have attempted to think outside the box to put together effective well-being support for our students”.

Tottington High School, which is part of the Shaw Education Trust, will be taking part in the ‘student wellbeing season’ to support their pupils.

On Wednesday, January 24, the school with hold an assembly for each year group, and year 9 drama students will have the opportunity to benefit from the Coronation Street workshops.
Cait, from Oldham, and Liam, from Bury, will bring a script from a scene between their characters that was used in a recent episode.
