Police in Bury have made several arrests for driving offences, including for alleged drink driving and theft.
Officers from the Bury North Neighbourhood Team made the arrests while out on patrol in Tottington, Whitefield and Radcliffe yesterday, Wednesday.
Police say they have been checking for suspicious behaviour and "stop and accounting people" in response to recent burglaries in the area.
Officers made three arrests, including two for allegedly being intoxicated behind the wheel and another on suspicion of the theft of a motor vehicle.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police Bury North said: "This evening (Wednesday), your town centre neighbourhood officers have been out and about assisted by officers from B relief response shift.
"We've been targeting vehicles and persons in the Tottington, Whitefield and Radcliffe area checking for anything suspicious or out of the ordinary and also stop and accounting people who are out and about.
"This is in response to burglaries which have taken place in these areas. The evening proved to be quite fruitful with three arrests, a stop search and a suspected stolen vehicle being seized."
In Whitefield, officers used an unmarked police car and arrested one person of suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
The spokesperson added: "Officers from B relief response shift were patrolling in the Whitefield area making use of a plain vehicle, this allowed for them to surprise two unsuspecting offenders who were quick to give it toes when they realised the vehicle had police officers inside.
"One was successfully detained and was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and going equipped to steal."
Over in Radcliffe officers said another man was arrested after police found him allegedly "driving in a questionable manner".
A police spokesperson said: "After engaging with the driver it was established that he was heavily intoxicated having practically fallen out of the car. This resulted in him being arrested."
GMP Bury North also arrested another man who was seen "parked at an obscure angle".
They said: "After speaking with the driver he surprisingly told officers that he was drunk, with the engine running, so was subjected to a roadside breath test which he failed."
