National Highways has issued a warning regarding road closures that motorists in Bury need to know about.
These seven closures, which will begin over the next two weeks, are as follows:
• M60, from 9am January 17 to 3pm January 18, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 both directions junction 17 to J16 - hard shoulder only for communications on behalf of National Highways.
• M66, from 8pm January 17 to 5am January 18, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 4 to junction 3 - lane closure for electrical works on behalf of National Highways.
• M60, from 8pm January 22 to 6am January 23, moderate delays of 10 to 30 minutes: M60 clockwise M66 to junction 19 - carriageway closure for electrical works.
• M66, from 8pm January 22 to 5am January 26, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 southbound, junction 3 to junction 4 - lane closure for horticulture on behalf of National Highways.
• M60, from 9pm January 22 to 5am January 25, moderate delays of 10 to 30 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closures and slip road closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.
• M66, from 9pm January 29 to 5am February 2, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 4 to junction 1 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.
• M60, from 9pm January 29 to 5am January 30, moderate delays 10 to 30 minutes: M62 Simister Island Roundabout carriageway closure on the North side of roundabout.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
