Bury's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
Four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure is already in place and is expected to carry on this week:
• M60, from 8.30pm on January 4 to 5am on Monday, January 15, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 both directions junction 17 to junction 18 - lane closure for central reservation on behalf of National Highways.
A further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M60, from 9pm on Tuesday, January 9 to 5am on Wednesday, January 10, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 clockwise, junction 18 to junction 19 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.
• M60, from 8pm on Wednesday, January 10 to 6am on Thursday, January 11, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 both directions junction 18 to junction 20 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.
• M60, from 8pm on Thursday, January 11 to 6am on Saturday, January 13, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 both directions junction 18 to junction 20 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.
• M60, from 9am on Wednesday, January 17 to 3pm on Thursday, January 18, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 both directions junction 17 to junction 16 - hard shoulder only for communications on behalf of National Highways.
• M66, from 8pm on Wednesday, January 17 to 5am on Thursday, January 18, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 4 to junction 3 - lane closure for electrical works on behalf of National Highways.
• M60, from 8pm on Monday, January 22 to 6am on Tuesday, January 23, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise M66 to junction 19 - carriageway closure for electrical works.
• M60, from 9pm on Monday, January 22 to 5am on Thursday, January 25, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closures and slip road closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
