A man from Chorley has won a car worth £25,000 and £2,000 cash from an online competition.

Craig Stone, a builder from Chorley was working in his telehandler when he received a video call from Best of the Best (BOTB) presenter Christian Williams who surprised him with the news he had won a Dacia Duster Journey worth £25,000 plus £2,000 in cash.

Craig said: “I can’t believe it! I’ve never won anything, so I’m over the moon.

“We were looking at getting a new car and saw the Dacia being advertised. My wife told me to enter and see how I get on. It feels amazing to have won.”

Craig, who celebrated his 50th birthday earlier this year, said he was considering taking the cash alternative.

He added: “With the cost of living the way it is, things have been tough, and we have struggled to keep up, so the money would definitely come in handy.

“What we might do is get Christmas out of the way and then look at getting a car - maybe a second-hand Dacia.

“One of the guys up the road from us has got one and we have been saying what a nice car it is. It will also suit us as we have got a couple of dogs which can go in the back.

“I would also like to go and visit my cousin in America next year. We keep saying we’ll go over and haven’t been able to.”
