Another yellow weather warning has been put in place for the North West today lasting until 3am tomorrow.
Following Storm Elin yesterday, Storm Fergus is expected to arrive in the North West this evening, bringing along yellow warnings for rain from 5pm this evening.
The warning covers all of Greater Manchester, including Bury and Bolton, and will last until 3am tomorrow, December 11.
Whilst The Met Office has warned of potential flooding, the red alert issued by The Environment Agency for Horwich has been downgraded to just an alert.
This means that Flooding is possible, but no longer expected.
Drivers are being told to plan and take care, choosing main roads where they are less likely to be exposed to fallen branches, debris, and flooding.
Public transport will likely be affected and due to spray and flooding on the roads, journey times will be longer.
Showery rain is expected by the middle of the day, easing through the afternoon before outbreaks of heavy rain arrive in the evening.
Many parts will see 15-20 mm, with the wettest spots seeing 30-40 mm.
Given the already very wet ground, some impacts are likely.
