A woman has ended a year "full of stress" on a positive note after winning the Made In Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw.
Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) worker Joanne Pilling has won the draw with ticket number 23051.
Joanne, who has held a ticket in the draw since September last year, has suffered poor health, as well as her husband, and her family has faced other problems.
She said: "I am overwhelmed by this! After a very difficult 2023, moving into the last month of it £2,000 better off is amazing!"
"This year has been full of stress.
"I've had some health concerns which has affected my hair - so I recently shaved all my hair off - but this win is a huge pick up for us all."
Joanne said her winnings will be spent on "enhancing Christmas for my family, which also includes my disabled mum and my eldest son, who is a high school teacher".
Joanne used to be employed as a work coach for the DWP before being promoted in May within the department's customer experience directorate.
She added: "I love my job and have been there for seven years in January 2024".
