Officers in Bury have arrested a man on suspicion of burglary and stealing a vehicle.
The man was arrested during Greater Manchester Police’s Operation Acquire, their response to serious acquisitive crime.

GMP have put out advice to prevent people from becoming a victim of burglary which include:
• Ensure all doors and windows are locked even when you are at home.
• Consider additional locks for your door.
• Keep valuables out of sight.
• If you have an intruder alarm, ensure this is set when leaving the house and going to bed.
• Consider additional lighting around your property.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Operation Acquire which is GMP's response to serious acquisitive crime continued in Bury today.
“Bury's Neighbourhood Crime Team and colleagues from the tutor unit paid an early morning visit to a male who was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of motor vehicle.
“We will relentlessly pursue all lines of enquiry to ensure those who commit burglaries are brought to justice.”
