A bar in Bury town centre which was ravaged by a fire this year is set to reopen in two weeks.
Stanley's of Bury on Silver Street will be welcoming customers again on Friday, December 8.
The bar has been shut since April after it was reported that a bin compound at the rear of Stanley’s caught fire, causing several buildings in the area to be smoke-logged.
Stanley’s suffered the worst of the damage though, with firefighters saying that the flames breached the ground floor and first floor.
In September, the bar announced that they had been given the go ahead to rebuild the venue.
And on Wednesday, November 22, the bat took to Facebook with the message "Our story is not over..." with the date of December 8 mentioned.
The announcement has been met with positive replies.
Social media users said “I’m so excited!” and “Anyone else buzzing??” along with people tagging their friends and already planning their return to the bar.
Before the fire caused them to close, Stanley’s featured live music acts and boasted an easy-going but exciting atmosphere.
