This scene from over a century ago shows life on Church Street in Ainsworth.
It was taken in 1928 and you can see a bus heading away from the camera. What looks like a delivery van appears to have been ‘abandoned’ by the road. Clearly bad parking was an issue even back then!
On the right, Peter Baron’s general store has the large sign 'parties catered for' painted on the brickwork.
