If you’re looking to start this weekend off with a bang, there are a range of bonfire and firework displays taking across the borough.
Below is a list of some of the popular annual events held in and around Bury.
Friday, November 3, events.
For those who don’t already have tickets, there will be one event tonight, November 3, in the town centre.
Bury: A funfair and fireworks display will be taking place at Gigg Lane with gates opening at 5pm.
There will be pop up artisan food and drink stalls providing refreshments and a funfair before the fireworks display inside Gigg Lane at 8pm.
Tickets are £5 per adult, £2 for under 16s or £12 for two adults and two under 16s.
Whitefield (SOLD OUT): There will be a display in Sedgely Park, Whitefield, for the Tigers RUFC Fireworks event 2023, however tickets are no longer on sale.
Gates for this event open at 5pm and there will be food and drink stands as well as a live DJ.
Saturday, November 4, events.
Tomorrow, there will be several events including one in Ramsbottom, Brandlesholme, Prestwich, Greenmount and Radcliffe.
Brandlesholme: Woodbank Cricket Club, will be hosting their annual event with doors opening from 6pm.
Ticket prices have been frozen for a second year after a turnout of almost 4,000 people in 2022.
This year, children’s tickets (3- to 16-year-olds) remain priced at £3 each, with a 25p booking fee and adults are £5 plus a 42p booking fee.
Woodbank Cricket Club freeze ticket prices for Bury bonfire
Greenmount: The Scouts annual bonfire and fireworks display will be held at Canon Lewis Hall tomorrow, November 4 with doors opening at 6.30pm.
The fire, just off Longsight Road, will be lit at around 7.15pm with fireworks starting at around 8pm.
Adult tickets are priced at £6.00, and children (under 16s) can go for £2.00.
Radcliffe: The annual East Lancs Paper Mill Cricket Club event will also return with a bang this year.
The free event will begin at 6pm and both The Cocktail Cart and Bennetts Soul food will also be attending.
The bar and two extra bars selling cans will be open, one cash only one card.
It will remain a free event although a donation bucket will be at the gates on entry and at the end of the evening, with contributions appreciated.
Summerseat: Brooksbottom Cricket Club, based just north of Bury in Summerseat, will be holing a free bonfire event open from 12pm with food available from 3pm.
The bonfire, which is being held just off Rowlands Road, will be lit from 6pm, the bar will be open and there will also be live music.
Ramsbottom (SOLD OUT): Ramsbottom Cricket Club Bonfire will be holding an event with gates opening from 4.30pm.
Unfortunately, tickets for this have now sold out but anyone in the local area might be able to spot the fireworks which begin at 7:45pm.
Prestwich (SOLD OUT) : On Hilton Lane, Prestwich Golf Club will be hosting their annual bonfire event with gates opening from 5pm until 10pm.
Along with the bonfire, there will be three firework displays, hot food, raffles, stalls and more.
Tickets have unfortunate sold out but anyone in the local area can expect to catch a glimpse of the firework displays at 6.45pm and 7.45pm
