A man has died after a crash in Radcliffe last night, Thursday.
Police were called to Water Street at around 6.35pm after a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
A 55-year-old man was taken to Salford Royal Hospital and was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old man, remained in attendance following the incident.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death while uninsured and on suspicion of drug driving before taken to Bury's custody suite.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward and help their enquiries.
A cordon was in place from the junction of Knowles Street and went up to Water Street, and closed traffic both ways up to Ainsworth Road until after midnight, with the serious collision unit carrying out investigations on the scene.
