The hospice is teaming up with the outdoor events and education organiser, The Sunnywood Project, to host a 5K fun run across Burrs Country Park on Sunday, December 17 at 9.30am.

The Sunnywood Project, based in Burrs, promotes a love for the outdoors by providing a variety of events and educational programmes that advocate healthy lifestyles for people living in Bury and surrounding areas.
There is no registration fee to take part in the event but participants must raise a minimum of £50 in support of the hospice.

People of all racing abilities are encouraged to join in and to dress up in a comfy Christmas-themed costume that they can run, jog, or stroll in.
All registered participants will get a free Santa hat, which the hospice would kindly welcome donations for.
The hats will be sold to attendees not taking part in the dash.

Non-alcoholic mulled wine will be provided, and people could be in with a chance of winning some exciting prizes in the Santa Dash raffle.
Back in 2016, around 150 turned up in their best Christmas-themed fancy dress or superhero costumes with prizes awarded to the best dressed grown-up, child and volunteer for the Super Santa Dash, which was hosted by Great Run Local.
