Police have issued an appeal after £500 was stolen from an elderly woman inside a Prestwich church.
Greater Manchester Police would like to speak to two people in connection with the theft which took place at approximately 11.54am at Our Lady of Grace Church on Fairfax Road on Monday, October 16.
Officers say the victim, an 84-year-old woman, was followed for some distance to her local church. A man and a woman then followed her into the church and confronted her.

The offenders took an envelope containing £500 from the victim.

Police say that one person then reached into her handbag while distracting her and took an envelope containing £500. The man and the woman then left together, leaving the victim alone.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who recognises the people pictured, or was nearby when the incident took place, to come forward and assist their investigation.
