Stubbins residents have been left without water after a burst water main was reported this morning, Wednesday.

Residents reported having no water just before 11am and water supplier United Utilities was alerted and are working to fix the problem.

Kane Anthony Hair salon on Bolton Road North wrote on their social media: “The salon will be closed today (Wednesday) due to a burst pipe in Stubbins, we currently have zero water at all.
“Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
“We should be back up and running by tomorrow, phone line is still on divert for all other calls.”

A spokesperson for United Utilities said: “We’re sorry if you’re experiencing no water or low water pressure right now.
“A burst water main has been reported to us on Stubbins Lane and we can confirm this is the cause of the problem.
“We're on with it and our team will be in the area as soon as possible to get this fixed.”
