A car was found and seized by police to stop it from being used for “any further criminality.”
The silver Volkswagen was spotted by officers being driven around Bury town centre on Wednesday evening.
The driver got away after a chase ensued but police have now reported finding and seizing the car on Thursday September 28.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Town centre neighbourhood officers had their attention drawn to this vehicle yesterday due to the manner in which it was being driven.
“After requesting the vehicle to stop the driver thought twice and decided to fail to stop.
“A pursuit ensued, and the vehicle was left to be caught another day due to the risk it posed to other road users.
“Today, this vehicle was located and recovered by the same officers this morning which has prevented it being used for any further criminality.
“If you spot any vehicles parked on your street which are out of place or aren't usually there, report it to us via 101 or online.”
Anyone with any further information or concerns about crime on the roads or other kinds of anti-social behaviour can also contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
