Two family run restaurants located in Ramsbottom have been nominated for a prestigious restaurant award.
The Holcombe Tap and Eagle and Child, both in Ramsbottom, have been nominated at this year’s This is Manchester Awards.
The two culinary hotspots are co-owned by father and son duo Bill and Will Gallie, as well as long-serving member of staff Jack Worsick.

The Holcombe Tap celebrated its fifth anniversary this month and has been nominated for ‘Leading Restaurant Award (Casual)’ at this year’s awards.
Other restaurants who have made this shortlist include The Refuge, Canto and The Ivy Spinningfields Brasserie on the shortlist.
Eagle and Child, which the pair took over in January 2022, has been nominated for ‘Leading Restaurant Award (Formal)’, where it sits as the only restaurant located outside of Manchester’s city centre within the nominees.

Both restaurants have enjoyed successful years in Ramsbottom, which is known for its thriving food and drink scene.

“The whole team, from front of house to kitchen staff, have worked so hard over the past year and this is testament to that.

The awards will take place on November 9.
