Bury's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from until 5am September 30, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise, junction 19 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

A further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M66, from 8pm September 18 to 6am September 22, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 both directions junction 1 to junction 0 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm September 18 to 5am September 19, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 both directions, junction 19 to junction 18 - lane closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 8pm September 22 to 5am September 23, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 18 to junction 19 - lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 8pm September 24 to 6am October 8, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 northbound and southbound, junction 3 carriageway closure due carriageway improvements.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
