Runners of all abilities and ages will be heading to Bury town centre for the return of the town’s biggest and best-loved charity road runs, the Bury Running Festival.
A hugely popular race for participants of all abilities, thousands of fun runners, fundraisers and club runners are expected to take part in the 10K race and Arena Group Bury Mini and Junior.
The event is expected to raise thousands of pounds for a number of charities including the event’s official partner charities: Bury Hospice and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.

The Bury 10K officially kicks off at 9.30am outside the Rock Shopping Centre on Sunday, 1 October.
The route will take runners out of the town centre, along Tottington Road, Bury Road, Market Street and Laurel Street before heading onto the Kirklees Trail Path.
The course will then loop back to the town centre via Brandlesholme Road, Woodhill Road and Castlecroft Road before runners cross the finish line back outside The Rock.
The day will then also see the return of the Arena Group Bury Mini and Junior runs. Open to those aged three plus, all abilities are invited to wheel, walk, jog and run.
The Arena Group Bury Mini and Junior events will also start and finish in the heart of the town, outside the Rock Shopping Centre.
The Mini event will kick off at 11.45am once the final 10k runner has finished and the Junior event will start shortly after around 11.48am.

The event will require the closure of roads and road junctions as well as the suspension of a number of Traffic Regulation Orders between 8.30am to 12.30pm on Sunday, 1 October.
This includes no waiting/parking suspensions on Bolton Street and The Rock from 6pm on Saturday, 30 September to 1pm on Sunday, 1 October.
Road closures around the route will begin from 8.30am and the final closure on The Rock will be re-opened for 12.30pm.
Roads affected by the closures include: Bolton Street, Brandlesholme Road, Bury Road, Castlecroft Road, Crostons Road, Dunster Road, Harvard Road, Laurel Street, Market Street, The Rock Tottington Road and Woodhill Road.
Road closures on Haymarket Street, Manchester Road up to St Mary’s Place, Moss Street, Silver Street for the Mini and Junior races will be in place from 11.30am to 12.30pm on Sunday, 1 October.

Tristan Batley-Kyle, Operations Director at Run For All said: “As with many major running events, some road closures are put in place to ensure the safety of the participants and spectators.
“We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused. All closures will be lifted as soon as possible.”
The event’s official sponsors include Bury Council, The Rock, High 5, Arla Protein, Coopah, Shokz, Up and Running, Gradwell, Marathon Photos Live and BBC Radio Manchester.
