Scarecrows of all shapes and sizes will be appearing in an area of the borough next month.
Summerseat Scarecrow Festival will be returning from Friday, September 29 to Sunday, October 1.
Entries are to be submitted by Wednesday, September 27 and a map of all the scarecrows will be available the day after.

It will be raising funds for Summerseat Methodist Primary School for much needed school supplies and Brooksbottom Cricket Club.
All scarecrows must be displayed at the front of properties by 12 noon on 29 September and the winners will be announced on Sunday, 1 October at Brooksbottom Cricket Club at 4.30pm.

Entries will be allowed from areas not just in Summerseat but also Holcombe Brook, Brandlesholme, Greenmount, Ramsbottom and Tottington.
All scarecrows must be built from scratch by a maximum of four people and those looking to win will want to go the extra mile to catch the judge’s eye.
