Drivers in and around Bury will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for in the next two weeks.

Four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 9pm tonight, Monday, August 14, to 5am on Wednesday, August 16, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise and anticlockwise junction 17 to junction 19 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

• M66, from 11pm tonight, Monday August 14, to 5am on Wednesday, August 16, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 southbound, junction 1 to junction 2 - lane closure for barriers.

• M60, from 9pm tomorrow, Tuesday, August 15, to 5am on September 30, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise, junction 19 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M60, from 8.30pm on Wednesday, August 16 to 5am on Friday, August 18, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 both directions, junction 18 to junction 19 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 9pm on Friday, August 18 to 5am on Sunday, August 20, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise and anticlockwise junction 19 to junction 18 lane closures and slip road closures due to maintenance works.

• M62, from 9pm on Monday, August 21 to 5am on Tuesday, August 22, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M62 eastbound, junction 19 to junction 18 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
