A borough social care provider for the Jewish community is in the running to win an award.
The Fed in Prestwich has been nominated as a contender for the Year of Connected Communities Award category in the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) Member Awards.
The accolade represents the strong efforts displayed by the dedicated team for going above and beyond for its community.
Activities such as the Bloom Gardening project in communal allotments help to benefit the social wellbeing of residents and how it brings positivity to the surrounding community.
Similarly, parents can bring in their children to enjoy music, songs, and dancing at Heathlands Village in a Thursday morning "Fedlings" session for some family time.
And a King Charles III coronation party this year brought a fun atmosphere to the home and its occupants.
NAPA is the UK’s leading activity and engagement charity and supports those providing care services to prioritise wellbeing and promote activity, arts, and engagement.
A spokesperson from The Fed said: “We are delighted to share news of our selection as a finalist for the prestigious National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) Member Awards 2023.
“This award recognises how much hard work, creativity and genuine care is put into the programme devised by the activity team at Heathlands Village to ensure that people living there are kept mentally well, physically active and connected to the wider community.”
The award winners will be announced on October 6.
