A cake decorator who works at a well-loved borough business has tasted success in the Made In Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw.

Kay Quinn, who is employed at Slattery in Whitefield won the prize with ticket number 20722.

Kay was out shopping when she was surprised with a phone call from Debi from the draw before they arranged to meet at the family-run Bury New Road business the following day.

Kay, who has worked at the patissier and chocolatier firm for more than 30 years, was "ecstatic" with the news and will be spending her winnings on home improvements, including treating herself to a new carpet for her stairs at home.

Slattery is a "naughty-but-oh-so nice" food emporium that is "truly one of a kind" and attracts visitors from far and wide.

If you’d like to win like Kay go to www.draw.madeinbury.co.uk for tickets.
