Fifteen multi-use litter bins are set to be fitted at Burrs Country Park to keep the beauty spot clean.
The bins, which are currently on order, will have two 120 litre containers – one for general waste, and one for cans, glass and plastic bottles.
Discussions are now underway to decide where each bin will be located, with the first of them to be installed in August.

Bin collections will also happen daily following concerns from Elton Cllr Jack Rydeheard about the increased footfall during the summer months.
Cllr Alan Quinn, the council's cabinet member for the environment, climate chance and operations, said: “Despite the years of austerity, we are still managing to invest in our country parks and our 12 Green Flag parks, and these new bins are part of that.
“Burrs is a very popular park, home to many events such as the Bury Agricultural Show, and I’m sure this move will be welcomed.
“It’s another opportunity for people to recycle, and I’d encourage them to do as much as they can to separate their bottles and cans from their general waste and help drive up our recycling rates and keep our parks clear of rubbish.”

Residents and others visiting the park are asked to notify either the council or ward councillors if any bin is seen to be full so that the matter can be escalated and bins can be emptied.
Cllr Rydeheard said: “I’m really pleased that the council have listened to representations made by Friends of Burrs, myself and others on this issue.
“Burrs Country Park is a fantastic recreational space, one which we are very lucky to have where we live.
“I welcome the increased frequency in collections.

"I’m also glad to see the council recognise the valuable work which the litter picking volunteer group do, by stepping in to help with new bins after receiving representations from us.”
