The Mill Gate Shopping Centre in Bury has won a gold award for its commitment to the community at the International Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Excellence Awards this year.
It received recognition due to the efforts it has put into prioritising the customers and the local community.

Angela Tierney, centre manager, said: “Receiving the gold award in the Community Commitment category is a tremendous honour for us.
“It is a recognition of the efforts of our dedicated team, the partnerships we have formed with local organisations, and the support we receive from the vibrant community of Bury.
“We take great pride in the work we do here.”

Angela Tierney and retail liaison Kelly Townend represented the Mill Gate at the award ceremony, standing alongside esteemed industry leaders and champions of corporate social responsibility.

The awards ceremony was held at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on June 16, and recognised organisations that are at the forefront of Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance practices.
The annual awards honour businesses and institutions which demonstrate outstanding leadership in environmental sustainability programs, sustainable business models, green building initiatives, community impact, and innovation in sustainable technologies.
