Ann Summers is coming to Bury.
The high street store, specialising in sex toys and lingerie will open next month.
It is the latest big name store to open at The Rock Shopping Centre, which recently become home to the first Vanilla store, a women's clothes store, in the North West.
The Rock Shopping Centre today confirmed rumours that Ann Summers will be moving to Bury in July 2023.
A notice of the new shop has been placed in the unit which was formerly home to Paperchase before Tesco bought the brand, but not its shops, earlier this year.
The unit has been empty for several months but shoppers have since noticed a large window sign stating: “So the rumours are true, there’s a brand new Ann Summers™ store coming to The Rock in July 2023. Watch this space…”
The British brand is named after Annice Summers, the 19-year-old female secretary of the male founder, Michael Caborn-Waterfield and is a multinational retailer that specialises in sex toys and lingerie.
Vanilla, Skechers, Kaspa’s Desserts and Shoe Zone have all been recently welcomed to The Rock's tenants list.
Bolton town centre boasted an Ann Summers store but that closed down many years ago.
