Seven men from Bury and a man from Radcliffe have been charged in connection with a suspected county lines drugs network.

Last week, on Wednesday, June 7, police raided seven properties in Bury and nine men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs.

The move by Greater Manchester Police, codenamed Operation Revoke, came following an investigation into allegations of large scale drugs supply operating across Bury.

The following men were charged:

• Hassan Hussain, 33, of South Bank Road, Bury, has been charged with two counts of conspire to supply cocaine and heroin, money laundering and supplying cocaine.

• Asam Hussain, 29, of South Bank Road, Bury, has been charged with two counts of conspire to supply cocaine and heroin, money laundering and supplying cocaine.

• Nasir Ali, 30, of Whitburn Drive, Bury, has been charged with two counts of conspire to supply cocaine and heroin, money laundering and supplying cocaine.

• Shakar Ali, 24, of March Drive, Bury, has been charged with two counts of conspire to supply cocaine and heroin, money laundering and supplying cocaine.

• Ali Akbar Azam, 33, of Parkhills Road, Bury, has been charged with two counts of conspire to supply cocaine and heroin, money laundering and supplying cocaine.

• Mohammed Shah Ahmed, 27, of Braemar Drive, Bury, has been charged with two counts of conspire to supply cocaine and heroin, money laundering and supplying cocaine.

• Waqas Ullah, 32, of Bury Road, Radcliffe, has been charged with two counts of conspire to supply cocaine and heroin, money laundering and supplying cocaine.

• Tusif Hussain, 32, of Wilson Street, Bury, has been charged with two counts of conspire to supply cocaine and heroin and money laundering.

All of the men appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on Friday and are next due to appear at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on July 14.
