This photo was taken in February 1975 when the only pub in Entwistle was put on the market.
The Strawbury Duck had been run by Roger and Sue Duxbury who had bought the pub four years earlier when it was then known as the Station Hotel.
It was due to go up for auction. The Strawbury Duck remains one of the area’s best known pub restaurants.
Do you remember the Strawbury Duck in the early days? We'd love it if you shared any memories or photos you may have.
