A man and woman from Liverpool have pleaded not guilty to possessing a hand grenade in Bury.
Lee O’Shea, 31, and Georgia Brown, 26, are accused of knowingly possessing the illegal explosive device and leaving it outside an address in Bury last September.
O’Shea and Brown, both of Apsley Road, Liverpool, both denied one count of possessing or controlling an explosive substance at a hearing at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on Thursday.

Brown and O’Shea were arrested in October 2022 and spoke only to enter their pleas and confirm their names and dates of birth.
Brown, who is six months pregnant, was released on conditional bail and ordered to live and sleep at her address, adhere to a curfew and surrender her passport.
Anthony O’Donohoe, defending, requested O’Shea be granted bail, but this was denied by Judge Bernadette Baxter.
