A family-owned farm and shop in Bury is celebrating success after scooping two awards at a prestigious business awards ceremony.
Nabbs Farm and Falshaw’s Farm Shop on Rowlands Road took home the prize for Family Business of the Year 2023 and Food and Drink Producer (small) at The North West Family Business Awards at a ceremony in Manchester earlier this month.
The highly anticipated event, which is organised by organised by The Family Business Community, celebrated the success and accomplishments of family-owned businesses throughout the region.

The event, held at the Concorde Conference Centre, included 500 of the most distinguished names in the North West family business world including entrepreneurs, industry experts and leaders who all came together to recognise the achievements of the North West’s most innovative and successful family businesses.
Presenting the awards was food writing and broadcaster Nigel Barden.
He said: “This winning Family Business is an exemplar of food production and farming, using all their resources around them.
"Their dedication to quality and freshness, whilst considering the environmental factors of field to fork and the UK food supply chain for all of us to enjoy.
"Strong family values with brilliant care for their customers and community.”
“If you’ve noticed this family business has consistently appeared throughout the evening.
"For the last 70 years this family over 5 generations has used has demonstrated its symbiosis. And the winner is the Falshaw family from Nabbs Farm.”

The awards were presented by food writer, broadcaster and proud northerner Nigel Barden along with co-founders of the Family Business Community, Dave Clarkson and Sue Howorth.
In a statement, Dave and Sue said: “We always want to create an unforgettable experience for all attendees, and bringing the awards back to Manchester again added an extra layer of magic to the occasion.
“The turnout was our largest to date and felt a fantastic energy in the room which was incredible.
