Residents in Bury and Ramsbottom turned the clocks back 80 years at the weekend for an annual 1940s event.
Each year, Bury, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall celebrate the era at East Lancashire Railway (ELR) stations, with visitors joining in with the fun and donning costumes from that period.

Streets were full of vintage vehicles, re-enactments as well as a host of music and entertainment.

A highlight from the weekend was a flypast from a Lancaster war plane, which seen over Bury, Tottington and Ramsbottom.
The ELR was in full spirit as the steam train was running across the lines from Bury, Ramsbottom and Heywood stations too.
A character depicting wartime Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill made an appearance in Bury and re-enacted some of his most famous speeches while the Lancashire Belle performed some heartfelt songs from the home front.

In Ramsbottom, Lilli Moore performed covers from icons such as Vera Lynn, Ella Fitzgerald and the Andrews Sisters.
One event goer said: “It’s been a great weekend, the weather has been perfect and it’s lovely to see everyone come out into the community and get together for this fun event.”
Ahead of the popular event, ELR chairman, Mike Kelly, invited families to get involved in the action.
He said: “This is a truly unique ELR annual event that makes for an unforgettable bank holiday weekend.
“Families and enthusiasts can immerse themselves in all the fun of the forties from its iconic music and fashion to historic static displays as they join us for a trip back in time while dressing for the decade themselves."
