Police have started stepping up patrol around Heaton Park as the annual music festival approaches.
Offficers will be working alongside event organisers, park security and the local authority as part of Project Servator.
The operation is designed to deter, detect, and disrupt a range of criminal activity, while providing a reassuring presence for the public.
The officers are experienced and specially trained to spot the tell-tale signs that someone is planning or preparing to commit an act of crime.
A spokesperson for Bury South said: “You'll see an increased police presence around Heaton Park as Parklife festival approaches.
“Specialist Project Servator teams will be working alongside event organisers, park security, and the local authority to ensure the area remains safe for everyone to use.”
Parklife will take place between June 10 and June 11 this year.
The headline acts will include Aitch, The 1975 and The Prodigy.
Other huge acts that are also set to perform include Fred Again, Raye, Little Simz, and Slowthai and a collaborative show from Wu Tang Clan and Nas: New York State of Mind.
In March a total of 21 groups also won money from the Parklife Community Fund and a further nine received funding for their projects from the Parklife micro grants.
Hundreds of thousands of partygoers typically attend the event.
