Cars have been seized, knife-sweeps have been carried out and people stopped and searched as part of an operation by police.
Operation Sceptre has been running in Radcliffe and Prestwich.
A spokesperson for GMP Bury South Police said: “On Monday, 15 May a pool car was seized which was being used by local criminals.
“Just after that, a vehicle was stopped at ASDA Petrol Station, after we noticed it wasn’t displaying front or rear vehicle registration plates.
“After further checks were completed, it was ascertained the vehicle was SORN (Statutory Off-Road Notification) and had no MOT.
“The driver was only a provisional license holder and didn’t have valid insurance.
“The vehicle was therefore seized, and the driver summoned to court for all the offences.”
