Three sports facilities in Bury are being granted funding to encourage people to get active across the borough.
A share of £272,127 will be invested into Woodbank Junior FC at Nuttall Park in Ramsbottom, Westbury Sports Club at The Barracks Playing Fields and Bury Athletics Track.
It is hoped this will encourage adults and children to get more active and nurture future sporting talent.

The projects support a range of facility types, from the creation or upgrade of changing rooms, grass pitches and 3G football turf pitches and pavilions, to floodlights, fencing and improved disabled access.
At least 50 per cent of investment will be spent in underprivileged areas and this programme will also ensure particular focus on increasing participation among underrepresented groups such as women and girls, and those with a disability.
Across the UK, a total of 1,700 new and improved multi-sports grassroots facilities are benefiting from £68 million from the Government to improve access to these facilities.
