A police cordon has been set up as officers attend a scene in Bury town centre this afternoon, Friday.
Officers from the Greater Manchester Police Crime Scene Investigation team were seen on Silver Street at around midday today.
Police have installed a cordon around a small section of the road outside the former site of the Propaganda bar in the town centre.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that its officers were on the scene and inquiries were ongoing regarding a possible incident, but did not confirm the exact reason for the cordon.

One Crime Scene Investigation van and an officer were spotted in the town centre but they declined to comment on the nature of the potential incident.
Silver Street remains open to traffic and pedestrians.
