A car was seized in Bury last night, Monday, after a driver reportedly did handbrake turns near a police station.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they seized a red Ford Fiesta in Whitefield after its driver had been doing handbrake turns on the Metrolink car park, which is near to Whitefield Police Station.
Its driver had previously been warned, officers said.
Under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002, police officers can seize a motor vehicle that has been deemed to have been used in an "anti-social manner".
They are also permitted to issue a warning to a driver under the act.
A traffic offence report (TOR) was also issued for a defective exhaust.
A GMP spokesperson said: “In Whitefield, this Fiesta has just been seized under Section 59.
"The driver has already had a warning.
“Tonight, the driver decided to do some handbrake turns on the Metrolink car park, behind the police station.
“TOR also issued for defective exhaust.”
