A circus stunt man was left with life threatening injuries after a freak accident, but he is back in Bury to perform again this year.
On July 14 last year, Ivan Mladenov was injured in an accident while performing on his bike on a stunt called ‘The Globe of Doom’.
This stunt consists of three motorbikes flying around in a steel ball at more than 50mph, but when Ivan misjudged one of his turns his bike crashed when he was performing in Devon.

Ivan broke every bone in his face and many others in his body and spent months in hospital and thankfully made a full recovery.
Despite this horror crash, Ivan’s passion for performing won’t stop him and he is back in Bury with Circus Funtasia to wow audiences with more heart-stopping stunts.
This year he is performing ‘The Wheel of Death’, a large hamster-type pendulum spanning over nine metres wide swinging around the big top.

He is currently the only man in the UK to perform three somersaults on the wheel and he is doing it live in Bury.
Circus Funtasia is currently at Burrs Country Park in Bury and will be there from Friday, May 5 until Sunday, May 14.
