Three pubs in the borough will be pouring specially crafted pints this weekend that have been specially created for the King's coronation.
Joseph Holt pubs, including the Ostrich in Prestwich, the Wyldes in Bury, and the Goats Gate in Radcliffe, will be serving a limited edition Coronation Ale to mark the crowning of the King.
Coronation street parties and events taking place in Bury
The family-owned independent brewery has come up with a commemorative pale ale to mark the occasion for the first time in its 173-year history.
The Coronation Ale has been described as a very pale ale flavour with tropical notes of mango.
Phil Parkinson, head of brewing at Joseph Holt, said: “Its such a privilege for the company to mark the coronation.
“We're a family business with strong links to history and tradition while always aware of needing to adapt to changing tastes and ideas.
“We hope our limited edition pale ale reflects that and that our customers will enjoy toasting our new monarch with this very special brew.”
