A series of "netwalking" events will take place over the next few months in Bury to encourage people to leave their desks for some exercise while making new business contacts.
A social walking event will be taking place tomorrow, Wednesday, May 3, with the goal of helping workers get a "breath of fresh air" during their lunch breaks.
Walkers will meet at the Victoria Wood statue in Church Gardens at 12.25pm, with the walk expected to start at 12.30pm, then return to the statue at around 1.15pm.
"Netwalking", a cross between networking and walking, will be led by the Sunnywood Project, and the event aims to reduce stress, give walkers a mood boost and help people create new contacts in Bury.
Another two "Netwalking" events will be held on Wednesday, June 7 and Wednesday, July 5, with the same meeting point and start times.
The events will be navigated by a walk leader with the aim of getting people out of the office for some gentle exercise to increase productivity.
