A Bury digital business is in the running to win a housing award next week.
DocTech, based at The Pavilions on Bridge Hall Lane, is one of 10 that has been shortlisted for the Technology Partner of the Year accolade in the Northern Housing Awards.
The awards, which will take place on Tuesday, May 2 at Emirates Old Trafford, shine a light on those who improve homes and communities in the North.
Since starting in 1984, DocTech has expanded from its Bury home to clients across the UK and Ireland.

Managing director Ruban Rajasooriyar said: “We have been nominated based on projects with northern housing associations where we have implemented digital solutions to improve processes which drive down costs.”
Mr Rajasooriyar said DocTech has helped people to automate processes that would have previously had to have been done in person and on paper by creating easy automated solutions to help with invoicing and emails.
The business said it helped to save housing association Mosscare St Vincent's, which has properties in various areas of Bury, saved more than £22,000 through a document management system.

That allowed tenant documents to be categorised and stored for easy access and enabled processes such as gas and electric safety checks to be automated.
Considering what it would be like to win the award, Mr Rajasooriyar added: “We would just be so excited!”
