A driver was arrested in Ainsworth after allegedly driving an uninsured vehicle under the influence of cannabis.
The driver, who was in a Volkswagan, was spotted by Greater Manchester Police’s Roads Policing Unit (RPU) who were conducting speed enforcement checks.

The checks took place on Ainsworth Road in Bury and after the driving was seen by officer, they were followed into Ainsworth Village where they were stopped.
Police say the driver had no insurance and that they were found positive for cannabis. The driver was then arrested and their vehicle seized.
A spokesperson for GMP Traffic said: “This Volkswagen was seen by RPU officers conducting speed enforcement on Ainsworth Road, Bury. The driver was followed into Ainsworth Village and was stopped.

The driver was disqualified and uninsured. Also positive for Cannabis!
