A Bury woman has been left "terrified" after a brick was thrown through her window.
Donna Chipchase, 52, says she was lying on the sofa in her front room at just past midnight on Friday, April 7, when the block came "flying" through her window, narrowly missing her.
Donna had been out with work friends and had turned off the lights to go to sleep before the brick smashed through the window of her home on Tinline Street, Bury, which is now temporarily boarded up with cardboard.

The microbiologist says her landlord has told her it could be a month before the window can be replaced as in the meantime the window will remain temporarily covered over.
Donna said: “I had gone out with friends, and I was on the couch, I turned the lights out to go to sleep and the brick went flying through the window, it just missed my head.”
Donna, who moved into the Bury property in October 2019, says she is now “scared in my house” and is working with the council to help her find new accommodation.

She said she was warned by a neighbour that someone had been seen walking up and down the street outside her house after they were caught on CCTV.
