Eight drivers have been given warnings over their "anti-social manner" of driving, police have said.

Officers from the Whitefield neighbourhood team pulled the drivers over on the south side of Bury before issuing the warnings.

In another case in the last few days, a man was detained after a "short foot pursuit" and subjected to a stop search following a report of a "burglary in process". The "circumstances were established to be anti-social behaviour related", police said.

Class B drugs were discovered after a vehicle was stopped after a report of a drug driver while a stolen motor vehicle was found and recovered for forensic examination.

Police have also been making enquiries about an outstanding stolen motorbike around Thatch Leach Lane in Whitefield. A man was subjected to a stop search with "enquiries ongoing".

On social media, a Greater Manchester Police Bury South spokesperson added: "Brilliant results over the course of the last few shifts from Team B and tonnes of good work!
